I used to make purses, seriously. The only problem was 1 bag would take all day long and nobody wanted to pay more then 40 dollars for one. So not only was I losing a day but I was also losing money as It cost more than 40 dollars to make one of these. So I put the purse thing aside but never really forgot about it.
I personally don't carry a purse. I don't for many reasons but the main one is I will have an ADD moment and leave it behind. Its a tried and true tested fact about myself, I am not a good "carrier of things". So for the last few months I have been toying with making different bags. I really love the messenger style of bags, but they were way to big for me. Although they do come in handy at the post office when I need to put my envelopes somewhere.

A sweater last year because I'm not really a sweater person:) This year I hope to get lots of hoodies!!
ReplyDeleteMy worst Christmas gift was a guitar. I don't play guitar. I had no desire to learn how to play. My DH thought he heard me oversay that I wanted to learn how....oh well!

ReplyDeleteMy worst gift? has to be the some really ugly real cheap Christmas decorations we got for several years from some friends of my husbands - they were just awful! They gave us that junk for about 5+ years!

ugh - most definitely the vacuum cleaner bought for me by my now-ex husband (wonder why he is now my ex!!!)
ReplyDeleteMy worst gift was a Christmas decoration, one of those big light up snowmen - well it looked cool, but when we put it up it didn't work - no lights worked so it was a flop :(
ReplyDeleteok the worst present I ever got was a food processor....it wouldn't have been so bad if I wanted one but I specifically asked for books and even gave my boyfriend at the time a list of what I wanted...duh!! perhaps that is why he is now my ex lol

ReplyDeleteI think I removed those bad memories... Or maybe I never really got anything too hideous! But speaking of bags, I did receive a hideous bag for my birthday a few years ago. It really was not my style at all, and it came from what was my best friend! :-/ Such a disappointment..
ReplyDeleteI love the travel bag!
I'm a follower on Twitter and retweeted about your giveaway. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, that's a tough one. Nothing really stands out except the heinous yellow am/fm radio headphones I got for Christmas from my grandparents when I was about 10. I *really* wanted one of those fancy new Walkman cassette players - like the one she bought my COUSIN!
ReplyDeleteYeah, Grandma. I know how I rate.
my hubby got me a 4 sliced toaster! ha ha
ReplyDeleteI love the bag, and carry so much crapola around..but I really wanted to thank you for the pictures tutorial for the cake balls.

Well, the worst Christmas gift I ever got was --- every year! My sister likes old lady stuff, antiques, somebody calls them, and I once told her something was pretty and she lit up like the proverbial Christmas tree and from that Christmas forward, I get cut glass, carnival glass, depression glass, well, I don't know what she's talking about because it's all just hideous glass!
ReplyDeleteLast year (and the year before, and the year before and the year before) I told her she could get me something else if she wanted. We'll see what this year holds.
Like Jen above me, I get the ridiculous compote dishes, and my other sister gets something actually pretty (though still the dreaded antiques)
Yes, I have to carry a small bag, too, otherwise I end up with the weight of the world on my shoulder.

ReplyDeleteThe worst gift I have gotten is underpants! I got them from my grandma a couple years back. Not only were they three sizes too big, they were also "granny-pants", AND bought in another country. I think I still have them stuffed unopened in a drawer somewhere
ReplyDeleteThe worst gift was soap and not just one year but several years thereafter. I was beginning to get a complex and wondered if these folks thought I stunk...wha?!?!! *lol* Good golly, don't give soap or underpants (reading the last post *giggles*) as a gift, c'mon!
ReplyDeleteI, too, now am a follower of your fine blog.
ReplyDeletethe worst gift... probably a shirt that didn't fit and I couldn't exchange b/c it was from another country - it's still in my closet and never been worn.
